As part of Eleven Places residency at the Meantime project space in December, we held workshops for both students and members of the public. In both of these workshops we discussed our project at the Meantime project space and then set a challenge for everyone to work as a team to create their own piece of site specific theatre and we were impressed with the results. There were some very imaginative pieces including one which involved the disappearance of a pavement!
Alongside the workshop we also set the task of asking those who came to try to discover their own recipe for belonging by asking what belonging meant to them so to experience how we began our project at Meantime. This, we discovered provoked interesting discussion and debate among those of us in the room but ultimately there is no wrong answer as all answers were personal yet familiar to us all.
We would like to thank all who attended our first workshops and we hope to see you again in the future.Â
